Manchester United are reportedly set to switch left-back targets in January after Fulham indicated they are ready to sell Ryan Sessegnon.
The 17-year-old is one of the most sought after young players in England, having made the breakthrough at Craven Cottage last season.
Despite his tender years, Sessegnon has already played over 50 matches for the Cottagers, scoring 11 goals and earlier this year became the first 17-year-old since Dele Alli to score a hat-trick in the Football League.
The England U19 star is contracted to Fulham until 2020, having signed a new deal with the club in the summer. But his extension contained no get-out clauses and The Sun claims United are ready to move for the player by bidding up to £50million.

The fee could reach such dizzy heights with Tottenham and Liverpool also rumoured to be sniffing around, but it is believed Jose Mourinho has made the Fulham youngster his No 1 target in January and will go all out to land his man.
The report claims Fulham have indicated their willingness to sell Sessegnon by hunting around for a replacement – though the potentially huge windfall would simply be money they could not afford to turn down.
United had previously been expected to move for Tottenham’s Danny Rose, but it seems now that Sessegnon is the man Mourinho wants to fill his left wing-back void, which has been filled so well by Ashley Young so far this season.
But at 32, Young can’t carry on forever, and it’s believed Mourinho sees the energy and drive of Sessegnon as filling the club’s left-back void for the next 10 years and beyond.
