Man Utd defender poised for Aston Villa switch

Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is reportedly poised to join Aston Villa until the end of the season.

Steve Bruce’s men have recovered from a sluggish start in the Championship to mount a serious promotion charge, and the Daily Mail claims that Tuanzebe will be given a chance to further his development at Villa Park.

The 20-year-old has featured just three times for United this season and could make his Villa debut against Sheffield Wednesday on January 30, with Bruce’s men not in action in the FA Cup this weekend.

Should he complete his move, Tuanzebe could feature alongside John Terry in the Villa defence after the Chelsea legend moved to the Midlands on a free in the summer.

The 37-year-old only recently returned to action after two months on the sidelines.

Villa, meanwhile, are also being linked with a move for Angers striker Enzo Crivelli.

The 22-year-old frontman has reportedly caught the eye of a number of clubs despite only scoring one goal in 10 games this season.
