Man Utd line up £50m-rated Prem star as De Gea replacement

Manchester United have reportedly set their sights on a £50m David De Gea replacement amid fears he could leave for Real Madrid.

A report from The Sun claims that Jose Mourinho is targeting Everton star Jordan Pickford if De Gea pushes through his ‘dream move’ to Real in the summer.

The Toffees signed Pickford from Sunderland last June for £30m, and would look to make a £20m profit if they are to sell him.

Real have been linked with a move for De Gea for a number of seasons and almost had their man, only to be denied by a broken fax machine in 2015.

Meanwhile, Current Real No.1 Keylor Navas has admitted that he would not be concerned if the club signed a new goalkeeper.

“I am calm because one day I will have to go,” he said after the 2-2 draw with his former side Levante on Saturday evening.

“Nobody will last for ever and only God knows when [I will leave].

“I give my all in every training and in every match, so I have to live with that.

“I don’t know if the club have doubts about me, I only know that I still have a contract and I will remain calm.

“If Real Madrid were to sign a goalkeeper in the future and let him compete with me then I would like that and it wouldn’t intimidate me.”
