Man Utd linked with £15m move for Colombian defender
Manchester United have been linked with a summer move for Jeison Murillo, with Inter Milan understood to want ‘at least £15million’ for the defender.
Reports in Italy claim Colombia international Murillo has caught the eye of United scouts this season, having initially been sent to watch his Inter team-mate Miranda.
Inter signed Miranda on a two-year loan deal from Atletico Madrid last summer and have first option to make the move permanent for a fee of around £9million.
But Inter could do business with United for Murillo – a player reports in Italy claim they rate in the £15m-£18million bracket.
Murillo has made 27 Serie A appearances for Inter this season, scoring twice. He has been capped 16 times by Colombia.
He was also named the best young player of the Copa America in 2015.
United are in the market for a central defender this summer, with Daley Blind not seen as a long-term solution there and Phil Jones consistently unavailable due to injury.
