Luke Shaw is reportedly in talks over a new Manchester United deal after a U-turn from Jose Mourinho over the left-back’s future.
The report in The Sun claims that United are not only looking to take up the option of extending the 22-year-old’s current deal by a further year but they are also looking to seal his long-term future.
The England star has had regular chats with Mourinho over how to win over the United boss and it appears to have worked after a recent upturn in form and fitness for the former Southampton defender.

An Old Trafford source told The Sun: “Luke has had a series of one-on-one chats with the boss.
“He told him he will sanction an extended deal if he can continue to improve and make his mark.
“It’s an amazing turnaround for him after everything that’s happened, Luke is in a much better frame of mind now.
“He feels he has a future here despite everything that has been said and talked about.”
The left-back’s current deal, if the extension is triggered, expires in August 2019.
