Real Madrid are prepared to take advantage of the uncertainty over Sergio Aguero’s future at Manchester City by testing their resolve in the summer, according to reports.
The Argentina international has scored 11 goals in 14 Premier League starts this season but Gabriel Jesus’ recent introduction into the City starting line-up has led to renewed speculation over his future.
Jesus played a starring role in the Citizens’ 4-0 demolition of West Ham on Wednesday and many observers already see the Brazilian as the long-term answer for Pep Guardiola.
If Jesus’ impressive start continues then Aguero could see his time on the field cut short and that could lead to him becoming unhappy.
The Daily Mirror claims Real Madrid will make a move for Aguero if he becomes unsettled at the Etihad Stadium with the Spanish giants holding a long-term admiration for the striker.
And this summer could be the best window to test City with other top forwards such as Alvaro Morata, Karim Benzema, Antoine Griezmann, Paulo Dybala and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang potentially on the move.
With this in mind, the newspaper also suggests that Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain could show an interest for Aguero.
