Anthony Martial is reportedly frustrated at the criticism levelled at him by Jose Mourinho and upset that he has been left out of the squad.
The £58million French forward was recently accused by the Manchester United manager that he had not taken the opportunities given to him so far this season and, as a result, has played no part in the 1-1 draw against Stoke last weekend, nor the 2-1 defeat against Hull City in midweek as the Red Devils sealed their League Cup final spot with a 3-2 aggregate win.
According to The Times, Martial is said to be ‘deeply frustrated with his hot-and-cold treatment’ after being deemed important enough to start in the 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
There is reportedly ‘exasperation’, too, over Mourinho’s public criticism despite the 21-year-old scoring in two of last three starts for United.
Martial was linked with a shock loan move to Sevilla shortly before the transfer window opened, but it is believed he is happy in Manchester and wants to resolve the situation for the good of both his Red Devils and international career.
