Roy Hodgson has called Ryan Mason into the England squad after Fabian Delph pulled out of the friendly against France.
Delph returned to his club on Tuesday with an unspecified injury, but the Manchester City midfielder has recently returned from a hamstring injury.
Tottenham Mason comes into Hodgson’s party for Tuesday night’s friendly, with the Three Lions now missing 17 players due to injury.
Hodgson admits his side may have an experimental look in a game that is overshadowed by the terrorist attacks in paris last Friday.
He said: “There will be six players under 22. We lost Fabian Delph. We are in a difficult situation and we’re playing against a very good team.
“I’m sure these players won’t let the country down but I’m sure the game will be a lot more about showing solidarity.
“Although I would have liked to have had all the players available who we want to use at the Euros, [this team] is experimental.
“But we can’t deny there is something hanging over this game far greater than a football match.
“I’ve never been in a football game like this before.”
