Blaise Matuidi has been given permission to leave the France squad on Monday to hold transfer talks with an unnamed Premier League club, according to reports in France.
With all the talk about his French team-mate Paul Pogba joining Manchester United, it is Matuidi who – according to Goal France – flew to England with the permission of both PSG and the French national side.
Both Manchester clubs and Liverpool have been mentioned as possible destinations for Matuidi, who appears to be surplus to requirements at the Paris club now managed by Unai Emery.
It is thought PSG have decided to let Matuidi move on following the capture of Grzegorz Krychowiak from Sevilla this weekend.
The player is likely to command a transfer fee of around £30million.
