Aiden McGeady: Everton winger set for Championship loan

Everton winger Aiden McGeady is reported to be reluctant to join Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday or Blackburn Rovers as he holds out for a Premier League move.

McGeady has made only one appearance in the Capital One Cup for Everton this season – and he was substituted by Roberto Martinez a minute into the second half.

He has only even managed to make the squad for one Premier League game, failing to get off the bench against West Brom back in August, but the Republic of Ireland international is ‘reluctant’ to move to the Championship, according to The Guardian, following loan offers from Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers.

McGeady needs regular football to protect his chances of making Ireland’s squad for the Euro 2016 finals, but the 29-year-old will apparently hold out for more Premier League interest following a tentative enquiry from West Brom.
