Mohsni’s British career ‘over’

Mohsni sparked a mass brawl at full-time in the Scottish Premiership play-off final between Motherwell and Rangers when he kicked and punched Lee Erwin after the home side’s 3-0 win.

Three players were sent off in the incident and it is currently the subject of a police investigation.

Mohsni, 27, is out of contract and Rangers boss Stuart McCall confirmed he would be kicked out of Ibrox following his shock assault.

McCall said: “If what I’m told about the incident is true, then it’s obviously unacceptable and totally disgraceful.

“No-one can condone that sort of behaviour. Bilel’s contract is up but that’s totally unacceptable.

“I don’t know if the club can take any action against him but I don’t think there is any doubt he won’t be at the football club next season.”

And now Mohsni’s Paris-based representative – who has asked not to be named – claims he will struggle to land another UK club.

He said: “He won’t be staying at Rangers after that but I can’t tell you where he is going to end up because I don’t know.

“But he will leave the country, that’s for sure now. Do I worry that this will put other clubs off taking a chance on him? The clubs in the UK, yes. Abroad is a bit different but his reputation in the UK has been altered now.

“His career in Britain is over. But that is the way it is.”
