Wes Morgan insists Leicester City will not dwell on the last-minute defeat to Arsenal as they aim to bounce back in the Premier League title race.
Leicester’s lead at the top of the table was cut to two points after Danny Welbeck’s dramatic late header in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory at the Emirates.
But Foxes captain Morgan is adamant he and his team-mates have the character required to go on another run of positive results.
“It’s a disappointing result. To concede with the last kick of the game like that and to come away with nothing is hard to take,” he told the club’s website.
“We’re the type of team to fight for each other, have each other’s backs and do what’s necessary to try to help each other out.
“We’ll dust ourselves off and bounce back against Norwich in our next game.”
With Leicester not facing another game until February 27, manager Claudio Ranieri has given his players a week off to recuperate.
And Morgan says it is exactly what the squad need after an intense period of fixtures.
“We’ll have a little rest and take our minds off the game,” he added.
“It’s been a tough last three games so we’ll have some time off from football, and come back with a fresh mind raring to go. We’ll be back on it.”
