Jose Mourinho: Manager had many public spats with Arsene Wenger

Jose Mourinho admits he wants Olympiacos to knock Arsenal out of the Champions League as they are managed by his friend, Marco Silva.

Arsenal need to beat the Greek side either 2-0, or by any scoreline in which the Gunners score three or more goals, or else they will be eliminated from the competition at the group stage.

Chelsea manager Mourinho is known for stoking the rivalry between the two London clubs and his latest admission appears to be yet another thinly-veiled dig at Arsene Wenger’s side.

“They [Arsenal] are in a group where a kid friend of mine, Marco Silva, is the manager of Olympiacos,” he said.

“It would be fantastic for the kid’s career to go through, so I have to be honest and say that I would like the kid and Olympiacos to go on.”

In September Mourinho suggested Wenger gets preferential treatment by the FA, while last year the Chelsea boss branded the Frenchman a “specialist in failure”.
