Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was pleased that no injuries were sustained during his side’s 4-1 victory over Burton Albion.

The United boss made nine changes from Sunday’s 4-0 win over Everton to ease into the next round.

Two goals from Marcus Rashford and a strike from Jesse Lingard gave the Reds a comfortable lead at the interval, before Anthony Martial added a fourth after the break.

Lloyd Dyer scored a consolation for Albion, but United progress and face an away trip to Swansea City in the next round.

Speaking after the victory, Mourinho was happy that there were no new injury concerns ahead of the weekend’s trip to Southampton.

“Everybody is happy, no injuries and no cards. I think the team collectively enjoyed the game, we look happy at the moment, that’s what I want.

It was a professional performance and we played seriously. In the first half we gave no chance to the opponent and we gave a very good dynamic,” he added.

Mourinho was also impressed with how committed his players are to helping the team succeed.

“They all want to play and are ready to play and want to use the minutes they have on the pitch to try and improve. I enjoy the commitment and there were some great performances.”

After a quiet performance against Everton, Mourinho was delighted at how Rashford bounced back to score twice, but was full of praise for all of his attackers.

“Martial was good, Mata was good Lingard was good. I think everyone in attacking areas gave a good dynamic,” he added.
