Myrie-Williams joined the Iron last summer after turning down the offer of a new deal at Port Vale and still had a year to run on a two-year contract.

But the 27-year-old made only seven league starts and eight substitute appearances for manager Mark Robins last season.

His last start was against former club Port Vale in October when he was sent off for two bookable offences.

Myrie-Williams joined Tranmere on loan in January until the end of the season and scored three goals in 18 appearances.
