Alex Neil: Norwich City likely to have finished recruitment

Norwich boss Alex Neil has made six signings during the transfer window, making it unlikely that any more new recruits will arrive on deadline day.

Patrick Bamford was signed at the weekend from Chelsea on loan until the end of the season, with the young striker joining Matt Jarvis, Ivo Pinto, Ben Godfrey, Timm Klose and Steven Naismith in the Canaries’ squad.

Neil said “never say never” on Monday morning, but the boss stressed that it is unlikely he will make any more signings.

Kyle Lafferty has been linked with a loan exit all month, with interest from former club Sion rebuffed over recent days. The Northern Irishman wants to play regular football during the second half of the season to aid his Euro 2016 prospects, and Neil is open to the forward going out on deadline day if the deal is right for the player.
