Gary Neville has hit out at Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, claiming that he cannot accept the playmaker’s moodiness and lack of effort.
The German, whose contract runs out at the end of next season, has seen plenty of criticism for his recent form and is reportedly looking for a way out of The Emirates.
Speaking on Sky Sports ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Manchester City, TV pundit Neville was asked for his take on Ozil’s form.
“Sanchez I can live with, because he fights for everything,” said Neville.
“But Mesut Ozil, I can’t be doing with watching him play football”
“You see Messi and Ronaldo giving their all every match. I’m not going to accept someone that plays football looking like he’s down a coal mine.
“I want Arsene Wenger to stay at Arsenal, personally. If Manchester United couldn’t win the league, I’d want Arsenal to win it.”
