Garry Monk: Guided Leeds into play-off spots

New Leeds United joint-owner Andrea Radrizzani has confirmed plans are in place to discuss a new contract with manager Garry Monk.

The ex-Swansea boss only signed a one-year deal with the Whites at the start of the season, but there is an urgency to resolve his long-term future having become one of the in-form sides in the Championship on their way up to third in the table.

However, Radrizzani eased concerns and said the situation is all under control.

“It’s not a big issue, to be honest. We are in communication – myself, Massimo and Garry,” he said.

“I see that all the three parties are convinced and have the intention to stay together. Sooner or later we will sit down.

“At the moment, everyone is focused on the day-to-day work. We will fix this, I am very confident we will fix it.”
