West Ham striker Nikica Jelavic is set to become the latest player to move to China – with second division Beijing Renhe tipped to seal a £4million deal.
Jelavic is reported to be heading to the Far East this week to wrap up the formalities of the transfer to Renhe, who were relegated after finishing 15th in the top flight last year.
Sky Sports quotes a source close to the negotiations as saying a deal is “95 per cent done”.
The Croatia forward joined the Hammers on deadline day last September and the 30-year-old has since scored two goals in 14 appearances.
Jelavic’s West Ham team-mate Dimitri Payet has also been linked with a mega-money move, with Chinese clubs having spent over £100million on European-based stars such as Alex Teixeira, Ramires and Jackson Martinez.
