No new worries for Rovers boss

The Pirates drew 0-0 with Huddersfield on Tuesday night, a result which ended their seven-match losing streak away from home.

Trollope opted for Byron Anthony to start in the centre of defence at the Galpharm Stadium but he does have other options in the shape of Steve Elliott who could also feature.

Former Hartlepool frontman Darryl Duffy came off the bench to impress against the Terriers and could be handed a starting berth after both Jo Kuffour and Andrew Williams both failed to find the net on Tuesday, but Trollope is unlikely to make many other changes.

No new worries for Rovers boss

Date published: Sunday 27th December 2009 4:32

Experienced defender Marlon Broomes is available once again after missing the recent 2-0 victory over Bristol Rovers through suspension.

Ash Taylor deputised at centre-half in Broomes’ absence, but the 20-year-old is likely to move back into midfield against the Cumbrians.

Alan Mahon (ankle) and Bas Savage (Achilles) remain long-term absentees for Rovers, who saw their Boxing Day clash at Oldham postponed due to safety reasons.

Parry’s men remain in the relegation zone, but they have only lost one of their last seven games and go into Monday’s game looking to secure a fourth successive win on home soil.
