Oblak drops telling hint on future as Liverpool talk enhances

Jan Oblak revealed he was still unsure whether he will remain at Atletico Madrid, following their 3-0 Europa League final triumph over Marseille.

The Slovenian goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Champions League finalists Liverpool and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain recently, following his impressive form with Atleti this season.

It’s a well known fact that Liverpool are on the hunt for a goalkeeper, and have also been linked with a sensational swoop for Juventus and Italy legend, Gianluigi Buffon.

The 25-year-old helped Los Rojiblancos to a second-place finish in La Liga and is in line for the Zamora Trophy, but admits he still does not know where his future lies.

“People talk about things, they have their opinions, but I’ve always said I have a contract here and I don’t know what will happen in the future,” Oblak insisted to reporters in the mixed zone following the game.

“I am still here and I’m not thinking of anything else but Sunday when we need a point to finish second.

“This is an important moment as we have won a title after quite a long time, so we are happy and it’s important for us all.”
