Opener has Hendon buzzing

The O’s, relegated from League One last term, will host newly-promoted Barnet, the club where Hendon spent six years as a player and two as manager.

“You always look out for a few fixtures in particular and to have Barnet first up at home is a great fixture,” he told the club website.

“It’s two good sets of fans and I’m sure it will be a great atmosphere on the opening day.

“I also know their manager Martin Allen very well from my time at Barnet and it will be nice to lock horns with him once again.”

The clash will also see a swift return to Brisbane Road for striker Kevin Lisbie, who left the O’s to join Barnet earlier this month.
