Divock Origi: Striker given celebratory kiss by fan

Divock Origi admits he could “feel the love” from the Liverpool fans after been given a Valentine’s day kiss following his goal at Aston Villa.

Belgium international Origi scored only moments after entering the fray in the 6-0 win at Villa Park and celebrated by running to the Liverpool supporters.

And the 20-year-old was greeted by more than he expected as one loving fan planted several kisses on the unsuspecting striker.

“Let’s say he was emotional! I could feel the love, definitely,” he told Liverpool’s official website.

“I turned and the first thing I saw was the fans. They were so happy and I wanted to celebrate with them. I think maybe on Valentine’s Day they were a little bit more emotional so I had some kisses, but it was nice to see.

“I think the supporters of Liverpool are very passionate and for us to be able to give something back to them is wonderful. I think it’s a big plus for the club also.”
