Arsene Wenger: Arsenal deserved to lose derby

O’Sullivan’s previous deal expired after the 1-1 draw with Scunthorpe at Glanford Park on Tuesday night but the 20-year-old midfielder will now remain part of Rob Page’s squad until May 3.

The Vale manager said: “It’s great to have sorted out a deal that will keep Tommy here until the end of the season.

“He’s a terrific lad and a really promising player and I’m sure he will help us get to where we want to be between now and when the campaign finishes in a few weeks time.”

O’Sullivan, a Wales Under-21 international, has made three appearances for the Valiants this season, including a start in the away loss to Rochdale on Easter Monday.
