Lewis McGugan: Celebrates scoring Sheffield Wednesday's winner at Newcastle
Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Lewis McGugan has left the club by mutual consent.

McGugan, 28, has not featured for the Owls this season after slipping down the pecking order under head coach Carlos Carvalhal.

“Sheffield Wednesday would like to thank Lewis for his services and wish him well for the future,” the Owls said on their official website when confirming his departure.

McGugan joined the Owls on loan from Watford in November 2014 and made the move permanent the following July under previous Owls boss Stuart Gray.

The former Nottingham Forest trainee made a total of 39 appearances for the Owls and scored nine goals.
