Ozil and Sanchez want to extend Arsenal deals – Wenger

Alexis Sanchez & Mesut Ozil: Have two years left on Arsenal deals

Arsene Wenger is confident Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will sign new deals at Arsenal after claiming the duo are happy with life at the club.

Reports over the weekend suggested Ozil will demand £200,000 a week on his next Arsenal deal, while the German’s comments about Arsenal’s title challenge were branded ‘not welcome’ by Wenger, to hint at further ructions in the camp.

The pair both have a couple of years left to run on their current deals but Wenger insists he does not have any doubt that they will keep hold of their two key men.

Speaking to the London Evening Standard about the duo’s future, Wenger said: “I am confident. Yes, they have a two-year contract left and there’s been nothing done yet.

“They look happy, when I talk to them they are happy and they want to extend their contracts so I don’t think it is a problem.”
