Crystal Palace are considering a deadline-day offer for an unnamed player, according to BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein.
Palace, who last week signed Emmanuel Adebayor, are reported to have enquired about the availability of Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs but been told the England international will not be allowed to leave Emirates Stadium on loan.
According to Ornstein, however, Alan Pardew has another target in his sights as he considers strengthening his squad for a European push, though there is apparently no interest in Hull City midfielder Mohamed Diame.

Dwight Gayle, meanwhile, has been linked with both Swansea City and Leicester City, though Alan Pardew denied the striker’s absence against Stoke City at the weekend had anything to do with his future.
