Paper/Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd eye £80m swap for Chelsea star

Manchester United are eyeing an £80million swap deal for a Chelsea star, while there will be a three-way battle for Wilfried Zaha this summer, according to Sunday’s papers.

MAN UTD EYE SWAP DEAL FOR CHELSEA STAR

Manchester United are plotting a huge £80m transfer swap with Chelsea of Willian-plus-cash deal for Anthony Martial.

Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of Willian from his time as Stamford Bridge chief, while the Blues are said to be keen on Martial.

However, a report in the Sunday Mirror claims that Old Trafford bigwigs would only consider selling the Frenchman to the Londoners if Willian is part of the deal.

Along with Nemanja Matic, Willian was one of two Chelsea players Mourinho wanted to sign when he joined United in the summer of 2016, just six months after leaving Stamford Bridge.

But he faces a real battle to persuade his former employers to let Willian go.

As for Martial, the attacker has struggled for starts since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez and is said to be stalling over a new deal at Old Trafford.

The 22-year-old, who cost United £36million when he joined from Monaco, is also attracting interest from Juventus, while Tottenham have also been stronlg linked with a move for Martial in the past.
