Paper Talk: Wolfsburg want United man; United, Spurs chase full-back
A Manchester United and Tottenham target wants to leave France, while Aleksander Kolarov will leave Man City for Roma with two new full-backs heading for The Etihad, all in the papers.
WOLFSBURG CHASE MARTIAL
Wolfsburg and Inter Milan both want to take Anthony Martial on loan from Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.
The French forward endured a frustrating season last time out, where he scored just eight times from a total of 42 appearances, 27 of which were from the bench.
After being shunted out on to the wing to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Martial again faces a difficult task in proving his worth to Jose Mourinho after the club forked out £75million to sign Romelu Lukaku.
Earlier this week Martial’s cousin, a journalist based in Paris, confirmed Inter’s interest
“I can confirm Inter’s interest in Anthony,” his cousin wrote on Twitter.
“However, he’s focusing solely on Manchester United. His thoughts are fixated on pre-season with United.”
AURIER WANTS OUT AT PSG
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has turned his attention to Paris Saint-Germain’s Serge Aurier, according to a report.
The Independent claims United’s failure to get Fabinho on board has meant they are looking into signing 24-year-old right-back Aurier.
Aurier has been left out of the PSG squad for their game against Tottenham in the US in the International Champions Cup, with coach Unai Emery confirming the player wants to leave.
“‘I spoke with Serge to tell him that I wanted him to stay,” Emery told L’Equipe,
“He told me that he wants to leave and he preferred staying in Paris to prepare for his departure.”
PSG are expected to go with Dani Alves as first choice right-back from his arrival from Juventus, and PSG could accept around £25million for Aurier, who is also interesting Tottenham.
