Rumoured Arsenal target Julian Draxler is public enemy number one at Wolfsburg, while Spurs are preparing for life without Hugo Lloris.

LLORIS FUTURE UNCERTAIN

Tottenham are preparing potential replacements for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris amid fears he will not sign a new contract with the club.

According to the The Sun, both Real Madrid and PSG are prepared to at least double the Frenchman’s reported £80,000-a-week wages which would break the threshold set by chairman Daniel Levy.

As a result, Manchester City’s Joe Hart and and Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford have both been named as Mauricio Pochettino’s main targets should he be forced to sell his captain.

Hart, currently on loan at Serie A side Torino, is looking to resolve his long-term future while Pickford is catching the attention of many Premier League clubs with a string of fine performances for struggling Sunderland.

BOO BOYS FOR DRAXLER

Julian Draxler: sees Wolfsburg as 'stepping stone'

Julian Draxler has driven the wedge further between himself and current club Wolfsburg after once again stating his desire to leave the club.

The reported Arsenal target was subject to a chorus of boos when he came on as substitute in the 3-2 defeat against Hertha Berlin at the weekend, with previous comments of using Wolfsburg as a “stepping stone” still fresh in the fans’ memory.

Draxler was asked about the frosty reception given to him and although he did not particularly enjoy the whistles, he still sticks to his initial word.

The German said to reporters, via the Daily Mirror: “I don’t think I need to tell anybody what [being booed] does to a person – it certainly doesn’t help you.

“There’s no doubt it makes it hard for you to perform on the field.

“I can understand the fans, though. They have every right to do that. I said in the summer the way I feel and I stand by that.”

Wolfsburg denied Draxler the chance to leave the club in the summer, but may now face a tougher fight in January with the Gunners reportedly lurking.
