Paper Talk: Bayern eye Celtic star, Man City ready to bid big

Moussa Dembele: Happy at Celtic

Bayern Munich are ready to make a big bid for Celtic hotshot Moussa Dembele while Manchester City are ready to make a £100million offer for Lionel Messi, according to Sunday’s newspapers.

BAYERN PREPARING SHOCK BID FOR CELTIC STAR

Bayern Munich are preparing a massive £30million offer for Celtic’s in-demand forward Moussa Dembele.

Dembele has been in brilliant form for the Scottish Premiership giants this season, scoring 26 goals in 40 games, and that has also alerted several Premier League sides.

The 20-year-old joined Celtic from Fulham last summer, after an expected move to Tottenham failed to go through in the previous winter window.

Since then the France Under-21 international has gone from strength to strength, highlighted by his back-to-back hat-tricks earlier this month, and that has alerted Bundesliga giants Bayern, according to the Sunday Mirror.

MAN CITY READY TO MAKE BID FOR MESSI

Manchester City are lining up £100million deal for Lionel Messi with the forward’s Barcelona future still uncertain.

Messi’s father and adviser, Jorge, is currently in Barcelona but does not want to speak to Nou Camp bosses over the possibility of extending his contract, which has has only 16 months left, reports the Sunday Mirror.

And it could well be the case that Barca are thinking now is the time to cash in on the 29-year-old, especially as fellow Nou Camp superstars Luis Suarez and Neymar have already signed new contracts at the club.

The potential arrival of the Argentinean would certainly be a huge coup for City, and the Premier League, but it will almost certainly cost them in wages, with Messi already earning £20million-a-year after tax.
