Paper Talk: Sturridge picks next club; Bayern eye £88m Man Utd target

Bayern Munich are ready to bid £88million to try and land a major Manchester United target, while Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge wants a move to Sevilla, according to Monday’s papers.

BAYERN TO RIVAL UNITED FOR REAL STAR

Bayern Munich are ready to rival Manchester United for Gareth Bale’s signature this summer.

Injury-plagued Bale’s future at the Bernabeu is becoming increasingly uncertain, with the Wales star almost certain to leave in the summer transfer window.

A move to United has looked the most likely option but it would now appear that Bayern are amongst several clubs who are ready to battle Jose Mourinho’s men for the 28-year-old, according to a report in Don Balon.

Bayern have an ageing squad and are said to be ready to bid €100m (£88m) for the former Tottenham attacker.

However, the report goes on to add that United may now end their interest in bale due to the imminent capture of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.
