Chelsea continue to be linked with several Serie A stars, while Liverpool have apparently ‘stepped up’ their interest in a Malaga midfielder.
BAYERN BRACED FOR VIDAL BATTLE
Bayern Munich are bracing themselves for a battle to keep hold of Arturo Vidal this summer, according to the Daily Mail, with Antonio Conte keen to be reunited with the Chile midfielder at Chelsea.
Vidal, who played under Conte at Juventus, spoke of his admiration for his former boss in public last month and is also said to have privately indicated a desire to team up again with the 46-year-old.
Conte only joined Bayern from Juve last summer in a £31million deal, but the Germans are also set to change manager this summer, with Carlo Ancelotti set to take over from Pep Guardiola, possibly allowing Chelsea to capitalise.
Vidal scored to earn Bayern a 1-0 win over Benfica in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday night.
LIVERPOOL IN FOR £10M CAMACHO
Liverpool are trying to do a £10million deal for Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho, claims the Daily Mirror.
The 25-year-old has a buy-out clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for that figure, but Malaga are apparently desperate to re-negotiate the terms to prevent him from leaving on the cheap this summer.
Tottenham have also looked at Camacho, it is said, but Liverpool have stepped up their interest in recent weeks and are pushing hard to land the former Spain Under-21 international.
