Jose Mourinho is “fed up” of waiting for Manchester United, while Juan Mata, Antoine Griezmann and Yaya Toure all feature in the papers.
MOURINHO RETURNING TO INTER
Jose Mourinho is heading to Milan this weekend to listen to an offer from Inter co-owner Massimo Moratti about a possible return, according to The Sun.
An exclusive from the tabloid suggests that Mourinho is “fed up of waiting” for Manchester United to make their move for him and he is going to speak to his watch his former club against Sampdoria this weekend and discuss a potential deal to return to Serie A.
Mourinho, 53, led the San Siro side to the Treble in 2010 during a two-year tenure with the club, but he is thought to have targeted the United job having already refused the chance to go back to Real Madrid in place of the axed Rafa Benitiez.
There is mounting pressure on United to remove boss Louis van Gaal from his position at Old Trafford, but Mourinho is not thought to be the overwhelming choice to replace him with Sir Bobby Charlton and other key figures at United not keen on appointing the Portuguese boss.
ARSENAL DROP OUT OF SANE RACE
The Sun claims Arsenal have dropped out of the race to sign Schalke striker Leroy Sane.
The paper suggests that Manchester United and Manchester City will now do battle for the forward after the Bundesliga side slapped a £40million price tag on the 20-year-old.
Barcelona’s reported interest in Sane has sent his value rocketing and Wenger is reportedly not willing to make such an outlay for a relatively inexperienced striker with just 46 games under his belt.
