Toure looks likely to quit the Etihad Stadium a year before the conclusion of his contract, and Germany international Gundogan is Guardiola’s top target to replace the Ivorian, according to the Sun on Sunday.

The paper claims Guardiola has spoken to Borussia Dortmund representatives over a possible £25million deal for Gundogan, who has only a year remaining on his deal with the Bundesliga side.

EVERTON SET LUKAKU PRICE

Everton will allow Romelu Lukaku to leave Everton if any club meets their £65m valuation of the striker.

Lukaku is said to be keen to quit the Toffees this summer, with Manchester United reportedly among the Belgian’s suitors.

The Sunday Mirror reports that Everton will be willing to sanction Lukaku’s exit providing they receive a fee of £65million – more than double the £28million they paid Chelsea for the centre-forward two years ago.

Roberto Martinez said this week that Everton should not be afraid of losing players, with Lukaku having recently spoken of his desire to be playing in the Champions League.

Brekalo made his senior Dinamo debut just before Christmas and has made one start and four substitute appearances for the Croatian side.
