Eden Hazard and Cristiano Ronaldo are apparently set to leave Chelsea and Real Madrid in the summer, while Liverpool want Neven Subotic.
HAZARD DECIDES TO QUIT CHELSEA
Eden Hazard has made up his mind to leave Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail, but he will not be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge this month.
Paris Saint-Germain apparently believe they are the frontrunners to sign Hazard in the summer, but they are set to face competition from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
PSG will try to capitalise on his unsettled situation at Stamford Bridge with a cut-price offer of around £45million, it is said, but Chelsea consider him to be worth almost double that.
A Chelsea source told the newspaper: “In his head he has already left. It would take some U-turn to keep him.”
RONALDO LIKELY TO LEAVE REAL IN SUMMER
Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, despite the appointment of Zinedine Zidane to replace Rafa Benitez as manager.
That is according to the Daily Telegraph, which says Paris Saint-Germain remain favourites to sign Ronaldo ahead of Manchester United.
Benitez was apparently willing to let Ronaldo leave as he looked to create a ‘more team-orientated philosophy’ at the club, and the 30-year-old will still ‘most likely’ be let go, the newspaper claims, despite Zidane revealing his plan to play Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema together in attack.
Bale will reassess his future if his position under Zidane changes, it is said, but the Welshman remains the club’s key man in the eyes of president Florentino Perez.
A Real insider told Telegraph Sport: “Out of Bale and Ronaldo, Ronaldo is the player expected to leave the club. Bale is still seen as the future, whereas Ronaldo’s best years may now be behind him.
“PSG are desperate to sign him and would be favourites at the moment, but United will no doubt try.”
The Sun, meanwhile, claims that United, Chelsea, Bayern and PSG have all made enquiries about Bale.
ANCELOTTI SNUBBED MAN UTD OFFER
Louis van Gaal’s long-term future at Manchester United has been thrown into further doubt, with the Daily Mail claiming the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward contacted Carlo Ancelotti about the possibility of taking over at Old Trafford before he agreed to join Bayern Munich.
Bayern were already well down the line in negotiations with Ancelotti when United got in touch, but the Italian’s decision to join the German champions was not set in stone.
However, he was apparently made to feel ‘more wanted’ by Bayern and so snubbed United’s offer.
With the Red Devils’ interest in Jose Mourinho cooling, Ryan Giggs is the most likely man to succeed Van Gaal.
