Liverpool are closing in on a Real Madrid star with a €500m clause, while Manchester United have set their asking price for Paul Pogba, according to Friday’s papers.

LIVERPOOL CLOSE ON REAL MIDFIELDER

Liverpool are closing in on a four-year deal for Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos, according to a report.

Italian outlet Calciomercato (via the Daily Mirror) claims that the Anfield club will pip AC Milan to the signing of Dani Ceballos.

The midfielder cost Real Madrid €18million when they signed him from Real Betis last summer, but Los Blancos are looking for €40million to sell him in the upcoming window.

The 21-year-old has struggling for game time at the Bernabeu under Zinedine Zidane however and has been widely linked with an exit.

Ceballos signed a six-year contract on his arrival in Madrid, with a €500m (£437m) release clause inserted in the deal.

Liverpool are keen to add options to their midfield as manager Jurgen Klopp has aspirations of being the man to end their title drought.
