Liverpool have been linked with a shock move for two Arsenal stars, Antonio Conte has put Romelu Lukaku at the top of his Chelsea wish-list, while Manchester United have been linked with a Colombian defender, according to Saturday’s newspapers.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has set his sights on Arsenal duo Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Wojciech Szczesny.

According to various reports in the press on Saturday morning, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp wants to lure the pair to Anfield in a double £40million swoop.

Goalkeeper Szczesny is currently on loan at Serie A side Roma but would provide stiff competition for Simon Mignolet if he moved to Anfield.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates and is also reportedly wanted by Manchester City and former club Southampton.

The Gunners are keen to keep the England international and offer him a new deal but the 22-year-old wants more first-team football.

He is also demanding a 200% pay increase on his current £52,000-a-week salary.

Arsenal rate Oxlade-Chamberlain – currently sidelined by a knee injury – at £30m and Szczesny at £10m which would mean a hefty offer from Liverpool would be required for any deal to be completed.

Romelu Lukaku

Antonio Conte has moved Romelu Lukaku to the top of Chelsea’s summer transfer plans.

The Sun claims manager-elect Conte sees the Everton and Belgium striker, 22, as the ideal man to lead a rebuilt attack – and his proposal has been well received.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is convinced that axed boss Jose Mourinho made a mistake in shipping Lukaku out to the Toffees.

And Blues technical director Michael Emenalo has pushed for the player he helped bring to Stamford Bridge in 2011 from Anderlecht to be signed for a second time.

With Diego Costa eyeing a move, all three key Chelsea figures view Lukaku as a ready-made replacement.

But bringing Lukaku back to the Bridge will not come cheap. Everton will expect a fee of at least double the £28million they paid to make Lukaku’s transfer permanent in 2014, while the striker has also been linked with Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Where will Romelu Lukaku be playing his football next season?
