Paper Talk: Liverpool eye Germany striker; United want OM man

Liverpool are keeping a watchful eye on striker Kevin Volland, while the Reds and Manchester United will do battle for a Marseille forward in the summer. 

LIVERPOOL TRACK GERMANY STRIKER

Liverpool are keeping tabs on Hoffenheim forward Kevin Volland, according to reports in Germany.

Transfermarketweb claim sources in Germany have reported that Jurgen Klopp tried to sign the German during his Borussia Dortmund tenure and is prepared to try his luck again at Anfield.

Volland, 23, has netted six goals in 26 appearances this season and could be available for around £11million.

Volland, who has five Germany caps, has been with Hoffenheim since 2012/13 and is currently on a deal with Bundesliga side until June 2019,

 

SPURS STEP UP INTEREST IN LIVERPOOL TARGET

Tottenham have stepped up their interest in Anderlecht’s teenage prospect Youri Tielemans, according to the Mirror.

The 18-year-old is also interesting West Brom and their interest has sent alarm bells ringing at White Hart Lane as they look to close a deal for the midfielder in the summer.

Liverpool have also watched the Belgium Under-21 prospect, who became the youngest Belgian to play in the Champions League after making his debut at the age of 16 years and 148 days in October 2013.

Tottenham are believed to be ready to pay around £12m plus extras for box-to-box midfielder Tielemans.

The youngster has also attracted interest from Atletico Madrid and hasd ready played 118 times for Anderlecht, scoring 14 times.

 

BIG GUNS CHASE MARSEILLE WINGER

Manchester United will battle it out with Liverpool for Marseille winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, according to Le 10 Sport.

A host of scouts from across Europe have been watching the 21-year-old with West Ham also understood to be interesting in bringing the youngster to the Premier League.

Nkoudou, who is predominantly a left winger has made 72 Ligue 1 apperances, scoring 13 goals, including five goals in his 24 appearances this season.

He only signed from from Nantes last summer but he is one of three Marseille players, Michy Batshuayi and Benjamin Mendy who could be sold by the French club in the summer.
