Paper Talk: Liverpool eye €100m Atleti star; Juve close on PL pair
Liverpool have stepped up their search for a new goalkeeper this summer, while a top Bundesliga boss has played down talk of a move to Arsenal or Chelsea, according to Monday’s papers.
LIVERPOOL STEP UP NEW KEEPER HUNT
Liverpool have joined the race to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, according to reports in Spain.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp remains on the lookout for a new number one, with Simon Mignolet seemingly on his way out of the club, while there remain serious doubts over Loris Karius’ position as the club’s top stopper.
The Daily Mirror, via Spanish publication AS, are reporting that Liverpool, PSG, Arsenal and Juventus are all interested in acquiring the 25-year-old Slovenian star.
Oblak, who is tied down to Atletico until 2021, has a €100m buyout clause and joins Roma star Alisson and Stoke’s Jack Butland in being linked with a summer switch to Merseyside.
