Ondrej Duda: Tracked by three PL sides

Manchester United, Arsenal and West Ham are considering a move for Slovakia star Ondrej Duda, while Tottenham are closing in on the signings of two strikers, according to Tuesday’s papers.

MANCHESTER UNITED, ARSENAL AND WEST HAM TRACK DUDA

Manchester United, Arsenal and West Ham are in the hunt for £5million-rated Slovakia star Ondrej Duda.

The 21-year-old – who is nicknamed Dudinho – was one of the Slovak stars who helped ruin England’s Euro 2016 by forcing a 0-0 draw with the Three Lions in Nice.

He scored their goal against Wales in a 2-1 defeat.

And now Polish club Legia Warsaw are ready to let him go to the Premier League if their valuation is met, according to reports in the Daily Star.

Duda’s usual position is playing behind the front line as a No.10 or 8 and now the three Premier League teams are weighing up whether to buy the young talent for a relatively modest fee.

The Slovakian has been at Legia since a 2014 switch from boyhood club Kosice.

Duda has 14 international caps and two goals to his name.

TOTTENHAM POISED FOR DOUBLE STRIKER SWOOP

Vincent Janssen: Tottenham target

Tottenham are set to finally wrap up the £16million transfer of striker Vincent Janssen this week – and are also looking at two more attacking talents, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

Spurs have been in pole position to sign the Dutchman since he travelled to England to hold talks with them last month.

PSG and West Ham have both tried to hijack the move by meeting the new, £16million asking price set by his club AZ Alkmaar.

But 21-year-old Janssen has rejected them, making it clear that he only wants to join Tottenham.

Tottenham originally met with the player on the basis that the deal would cost them just £12million.

But AZ Alkmaar hiked up the price after the interest from PSG and West Ham. Spurs have since tried to reach a compromise but look set to accept paying the whole amount.

Boss Mauricio Pochettino has made reinforcements up front a priority this summer after the club’s over-reliance on England striker Harry Kane over the past two seasons.

The club are also keen on 20-year-old Roma striker Antonio Sanabria, the Paraguay international who would cost them £11.5million.

Spurs are also interested in £11.3million River Plate striker Lucas Alario.

The 20-year-old made 26 appearances for Argentinian side River Plate last season, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists.

Despite interest from elsewhere, his agent, Pedro Aldave, says Alario will choose Spurs if they meet his release clause.

Aldave said: “Today Alario is at River. There was only one proposal, from Genoa, and interest of Tottenham. If Tottenham pays the clause, Alario is going.”
