Paper Talk: Man Utd plot £27m Espanyol raid

Dele Alli wants a big pay rise, Liverpool will go for Thomas Lemar next summer and Man Utd are ready to pay £27million for a left-back, all in the papers.

UNITED TO GO FOR MARTIN

Manchester United are ready to make a move for Espanyol left-back Aaron Martin, according to a report.

Jose Mourinho sent scouts to watch the 20-year-old Spain Under-21 man at the start of the season, but a deal never materialised.  Now, according to El Gol Digital Mourinho will reignite his interest and will pay the £27million release clause in Martin’s contract.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City have also been linked with youngster, but Real’s interest has apparently waned, but Barca are still believed to be in the hunt.

The report, via the Daily Express, does claim though that “Martin favours a move to Old Trafford”.
