Paper Talk: Messi asks Barca to lure Chelsea man; United eye Champ star

Manchester United will move for a £40m-rated Fulham sensation this summer, while Roberto Firmino has been linked with a £100m switch to a European giant, according to Tuesday’s newspapers.

MOURINHO PLOTTING £40M SESSEGNON SWOOP

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is planning a £40m summer move for Fulham’s 17-year-old Ryan Sessegnon, according to reports.

The Sun claims Mourinho will make the teenager United’s long-term replacement for Shaw, who was once again substituted by his manager in embarrassing fashion during Saturday’s FA Cup win over Brighton.

It’s suggested United plan to swoop for Sessesgnon as soon as the window opens and beat the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham to his signature.

It’s suggested Shaw will be allowed to leave and England U21 international Sessegnon will spend a year under the guidance of Ashley Young – on Monday handed a new one-year deal – before succeeding the veteran as first choice left-back by the time the 2019/20 season gets underway.
