Juan Mata: Manchester United midfielder linked with West Ham

Juan Mata looks increasingly likely to be sold by Manchester United this summer, while Jack Grealish is apparently wanted by three Premier League clubs.

MATA WANTED BY BARCELONA

Juan Mata is a target for Barcelona, according to The Sun.

Mata is fearing for his future at Manchester United following the appointment of Jose Mourinho, who sold him to United when in charge in Chelsea, but the Spain midfielder could be offered a move away from Old Trafford to avoid the prospect of being marginalised by the new boss.

The newspaper says Luis Enrique wants Mata to take some of the burden off Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, with Arda Turan having failed to impress since being signed from Atletico Madrid to perform a similar role in the squad.

Mata, it is said, is open to the idea of relaunching his career elsewhere.

GREALISH TO BE OFFERED PREMIER LEAGUE STAY

Jack Grealish looks set to be offered the chance to remain in the Premier League, reports the Daily Telegraph, after impressing for England Under-21s at the Toulon tournament.

Grealish, 20, lost all 16 games he appeared in for Aston Villa as they were relegated from the top flight, but Stoke City have already registered an interest, the newspaper claims, with Mark Hughes keen to strengthen his squad’s British core. Hughes is also keen to add creativity, with Ibrahim Afellay set to miss the rest of the year with a knee ligament injury.

Tottenham and Everton will also consider moves for Grealish, it is said, aware they could capitalise on Villa’s drop into the second tier.
