Paper Talk: Man Utd target new deadly double act

Date published: Friday 28th April 2017 8:18

Monaco are open to the sale of one of their stars, Alvaro Morata’s future is up in the air and the door is still ajar on a move to Liverpool for Isco, all in Friday’s papers.

MONACO OPEN TO BAKAYOKO SALE

Monaco are prepared to sell Manchester United target Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer, according to reports in France.

Jose Mourinho is believed to have sent scouts to watch the midfielder in action and with speculation surrounding Marouane Fellaini’s future, the 22-year-old may well be a ready-made replacement.

Bakayoko has played 46 times for Monaco this term and helped the principality club to the top of the table and into the semi-finals of the Champions League.

He is under contract until 2019, but Le10 Sport claim that the Ligue 1 Monaco have, so far, failed to convince the him to extend his deal and they are prepared to cash in on him.

ALL NOT LOST FOR LIVERPOOL OVER ISCO?

Isco: Could leave Real Madrid this summer

Liverpool have not given up hoped on signing Isco, according to Don Balon.

But Reds fans should not get too excited because the report from the somewhat flaky news outlet has little or no substance

The crux of the report revolves around Philippe Coutinho potentially moving to Barcelona. Jurgen Klopp would then need a new No. 10 and Real Madrid man Isco is believed to be the man he wants.

However, reports earlier this week have suggested Isco is ready to commit his future at the Bernabeu with a contract on the table which could see him double his salary until 2022.

The 25-year-old’s new deal is believed to be worth around £96,000-a-week and that will surely be enough to put paid to Liverpool’s faint hopes.
