Paper Talk: Real offer £100m & Bale for Chelsea ace; £25m for Smalling
Real Madrid are ready to offer Chelsea £100million plus a player exchange to get Eden Hazard, while Man Utd have named their price for Arsenal target Chris Smalling, according to Sunday’s newspapers.
REAL LOOKING TO LURE CHELSEA INTO HAZARD DEAL
Real Madrid will reportedly offer £100m plus Gareth Bale to tempt Chelsea into parting company with Eden Hazard in the summer.
The reigning La Liga champions are set for a massive summer revamp after a disastrous title defence this season, and Hazard is believed to be their top target.
Real will completely overhaul their squad, with a number of tops stars leaving, including Gareth Bale, while head coach Zinedine Zidane will also be axed.
Bale has been a long-term target for Manchester United but according to a report in the Sunday Express, Real will offer the former Tottenham winger plus £100m to try and lure Hazard to the Bernabeu.
Hazard, along with Blues stopper Thibaut Courtois, has been in new contract talks with the Blues for some time but the club have been unable to tie the pair down.
Now Real are hoping that the offer of Bale and a significant transfer fee will tempt Roman Abramovich into allowing one of prized assets to move on.
Hazard, himself, has admitted in the past that he one day dreams of playing for the Spanish giants, telling French TV channel Canal+ in Novmeber: “Everyone knows the admiration I have for Real, but for now I’m a Blue.”
The question now, however, is how much longer the 27-year-old will continue being ‘a Blue’.
