Paul Scholes says Paul Pogba is passed caring at Man Utd

Paul Scholes has laid into Paul Pogba again and believes the midfielder has now gone past caring about his Manchester United future.

Ahead of tonight’s Bournemouth v Man Utd clash on the south coast, in which Pogba started, Scholes was asked his opinion of United’s £89million man.

“I think some players like Pogba let him down. Turning up once every four or five games isn’t good enough at this club,” Scholes told BT Sport.

Pogba, who was on a yellow card, was substituted on 58 minutes in Sunday’s 1-0 home defeat to West Brom with Jose Mourinho accusing the France midfielder of losing possession too much and Scholes agrees.

“I think he loves playing football. From my experience he’s a great lad who is always willing to learn,” added former United midfielder Scholes.

“Whether he gets on with the manager I don’t know but we have seen an amazing player in him – just not at United yet. Problem is he performs in one of every three or four games and as a United midfielder aiming to win the league that is not enough.

“I think it was disrespectful towards his manager the way he played (against WBA). He wanted it to be the Paul Pogba show and those flicks don’t win games. It’s crazy.

“Yeah I think he could leave this summer. It looks like the relationship isn’t great and that performance on Sunday suggests he doesn’t care what the manager thinks. I think that’s disrespectful towards his manager and team-mates.”
