Concerning I haven’t seen Ozil make one pass to Lacazette

To be really honest,I’m still divided on my opinion of him.His clear lack of commitment in tackles really does make him culpable most of the time adding to his poor attitude, but footballing wise mainly statistically he’s always up there.Every game week I read stats showing him leading the chances created, pass accuracy etc chart.

the main issue though right now is I haven’t seen even one pass ozil has made to lacazette. All these years people have been lambasting giroud and begging for a striker of another sort, and finally we get one it seems to be of no effect.

I read somewhere the other day,”People keep criticizing oz, but his game is beyond understanding for the ordinary fan”.I don’t disagree with that,I personally very well understand his game. However, if he just showed more commitment into challenges and a better attitude he would not be singled out now and again.

I’d like to see Wilshere given a chance

He was targeted all game. Had that of happened in my local sunday league there would been couple of split lips and broken noses for challeneges like he was receiving.

I’d Like to see Jack given a go in place of Xhaka, Ramsey and Ozil. We all know and have seen he has teh talent for the highest level. he cannot do any worse than Xhaka is at the moment or ozil.

On Ozil i saw a great stat from his last game (stoke) compared to Davis Silva last game (everton) and he his involvement was head and shoulders above David Silva was. Yet ozil gets slated time and time again, are we perhaps just being to hard on him? he creates more, has more touches, completes more passes and completes more 1 on 1s than most midifelders do. i dont see all the others getting same stick. I’ve had my fill of his attitude but just maybe we are being to hard on him and have to sytart accepting that maybe the other players are the problem and not him. When he is in tandem with Sanchez he is a joy to watch and funnily enough Sanchez is head and shoulders above the rest of the players. Just another angle to look at it.

Emenalo negativity is harsh

I think that the honest answer here is that no one outside of the Club knows the exact role that Roman has asked Emanalo to perform

Many people have a go stating he is useless at his job without knowing what is expected of him. They also tend to forget that he has been at the Club a long time providing advice/direction/information to Roman and this by any kind of measurement is the most successful period of the Club in our history

This would imply that he has a vague idea of what he is doing and that he does bring value to the Club? Like any human being he will make mistakes. My understanding, and I could be wrong, is that he also has a team that works/reports to him and these are more likely to be the guys going to see and monitor some of the loan players although I am sure I read that all loanees have to report to Chelsea within an hour of a game finishing. Not clear why but have to assume to provide some kind of feedback for the Club

Anyway, while I am no wiser than anyone on here about what value Emanalo brings to the Club, I just feel it is a bit harsh for all negativity to be aimed in his direction. He will be here long after Conte for example and Chelsea will continue to win trophies…!! KTBFFH

Chelsea fan struggling to see what Oxlade-Chamberlain would offer

I seriously Don’t get this obsession with oxlade. Simply don’t see what he brings to a game of football. He struggles to cross a ball, fails to score sitters… I’m struggling to find positives for moving for him. in fact, can anyone tell me a game he has changed on his own? When has he ever performed for England and not struggled with injuries.

I really think we could sing a half decent pl leftback and half the price. You only have to look at Liverpool and Leicester to see where we’re going wrong. Picked up two hull players who could have done a job.

Tuchel would be an even bigger problem than Conte

I’m hoping that this is a resurfacing of an old rumour.

If Marina is really finding Conte to hot to handle then Tuchel would be an even bigger problem for her because he fell out with everyone at Dortmund from the Board to the players.

Only at Chelsea could such rumours surface following a title winning season.

Still expecting a minimum of three new players at Chelsea

Seems like a lot of interesting links and stories coming up for the final few days of the window

Stories today indicate that Ox will not accept the new contract from Arsenal so potentially opens the door for us to make a move. Stories also indicate that Drinkwater is close as is the Italian winger we have been linked with (not sure of his name)

Vardy is a bit of a weird one but has some merit and would certainly add pace to the front but not totally convinced he would fit our style. Must admit not convinced about the links to the Everton midfielder and really do not see that Everton want to sell as Koeman appears to be trying to be building a bigger and stronger squad for an assault on Europe and potentially a CL place. The only option I see at Everton is Barkley but he is injured anyway (although maybe a cut price deal could be had if we were interested)

Still expecting a minimum of 3 new players before the window closes. KTBFFH

This transfer window reminds me of 2012 farce

Still time to go but this window reminds me of 2012 when we ended up bringing no one in and it was a farce.

Its worrying we are not linked with anyone only vvd still. Salah is a good signing, robertson has only played one game and ive been impressed by solanke.

The depth is not good enough though. We rest players and klavan starts. We need more quality. A few injuries already and we are struggling. There is still time but as each day goes by it becomes more difficult for us.

Keep couhtino and get two players in who are going to come into the 1st 11 and really up the squad and its been a very good window. There is still time

Bring no one else in then its a joke and we will struggle this season. Im confident more names will come in and i still hold hope for vvd.

Coutinho’s latest “illness” worries me

Barca are said to be coming in with a 4th bid now and I wasn’t worried until I saw that Coutinho is now “ill” ontop of this fake back injury. This ill business could mean that he stays away from the club, as he’s been going into Melwood all this time.

Barca were forced to sell Neymar as PSG met his release clause but we’re not under any such restrictions regards selling or even price. It isn’t a case that Neymar is worth £200m, because whatever that release clause was, maybe PSG would have been willing to pay more. So the “Neymar is worth X, so Coutinho must be worth X-Y” kind of logic just doesn’t hold water.

We’ve gotten mixed messages over the last 24 hours, first that Coutinho was backtracking and now that Barca are coming back in and that Coutinho has never been more desperate to leave.

The 4th bid is a big surprise to me, it makes me wonder “what’s changed”. Have they heard that we’d be willing to let him go for a certain amount, or have they just become ever more desperate with other options not going well? Coutinho’s latest “illness” worries me but if Barca offer £138m that isn’t riddled with terrible clauses (which it no doubt will be) then will FSG think they’ve reached their price?

Obviously, we’d have to have a replacement lined up right now, maybe we do. buuut given how the WC is coming next summer, maybe PSG will feel like breaking the world record again then. It’s not inconceivable to think that if Coutinho has a good season with us followed by a big WC that PSG wouldn’t bid £250m for him. You just don’t know.

So, what do you lads think? Is this illness thing an indication of something new happening, with FSG about to give in or what?

Jesus and Sane were both disappointing

Excellent 2nd half, but I was really disappointed with Jesus. Sane should also have been subbed at half time as he was poor. I think we saw how good Danilo could be as a right wing back (and he did use his left foot) so not all bad news. Pep has a lot to do. Thought City looked a lot better with 4 at the back.

I can’t see Perreira fitting in this season

Looks like he’s staying but, unless we’ve got injuries, I can’t see him playing much at all. Cup games I guess is about it. Would like to see him play but Mourinho can’t really afford to try new things this season. He needs to just win games and win the league, can’t see Pereira fitting into that this season.

Hard to compare Rashford to Neville, Becks, Ronaldo etc

Lets stop talking about Chadwick Miller Powell Richardson etc none of them played the amount of games Rashford had at 19 and were never 1st team players.

As for the class of 92 only Giggs was a regular as a teenager and I am sure you remember how hit and miss he was during that period brilliant one min frustrating the next.

Also all of the young players you have mentioned from class of 92 to Welbeck etc all played in a era when we were the best team in the land and Europe so it was easier to come in with the players they had around them.

Mac this is why I use the word moaners because none of these posters are actually thinking about what they’re typing before they post the same players they lord over like Neville Becks Ronaldo and Scholes were not even bit part players at 19 and didn’t play consistently in the 1st team until at least 21.

Like I said only Fat Ronaldo, Giggs, Rooney, Messi, Cesc and Owen were the only teenagers who have played consistently for a top club as teenagers and for smaller clubs you had players like Milner.
