Lowry was suspended for Argyle’s 2-0 defeat at Preston, when fit-again summer signing Reda Johnson was recalled for his second first-team start of the season.

The Benin international played alongside Kari Arnason in the centre of Argyle’s back four, but Lowry is likely to come back in against the Sky Blues.

Midfielder Jim Paterson is a major doubt after suffering a recurrence of his hamstring injury while playing for the reserves in midweek.

Head coach Mariner is also waiting on the fitness of loanees Darcy Blake and David Gray, who are struggling with respective heel and hamstring injuries.

New Zealand target man Rory Fallon (ankle) is another player who could miss out.
