PL pre-match stats: Red card frenzy

Mourinho has won eight and lost just one of 10 Premier League matches as a coach against Liverpool, but the Reds have lost just one of their last four visits to the champions.

Everton v Sunderland

Roberto Martinez’s side have lost just one of their last 14 Premier League games at Goodison Park (W7 D6 L1), winning the last four in a row.

Sunderland have failed to score in seven of their last 14 Barclays Premier League matches against Everton and netted only eight goals in total in that run.

The Toffees have conceded just seven goals in the last 14 home games and kept eight clean sheets including the last four in a row.

Sunderland have won just two of the last 20 Premier League games against Everton (W2 D5 L13), but were victorious on their last trip to Goodison Park.

The Black Cats have won none of their last eight Premier League matches on the road (W0 D4 L4).

The last seven goals Everton have scored in this fixture have been netted between the 75th and 81st minute.

Sunderland are looking to win back to back Premier League games for the first time this season.
